My name is Katie, I have a Shepherd mix that I rescued from a shelter in Michigan. I would like to find more opportunities to get out and meet people with my pup.

Are you a runner-type, a hiker-type or a walker-type?

I am a hiker/walker type...though I have been known to do the occasional run for a good cause

Do you have a dog you like to run with? What's his/her name and breed?

I have a dog, he is not much of a runner do health reasons. His name is Sam, he is a German Shepherd mix

    A few ideas for you: The residents don't come early with one exception. Joy in her wheel chair is at the front to greet everyone some Saturdays. But if you come 10 minute early you will probably be the first one there. Let your dog get used to the room, with just you and he for a few minutes. Then one dog at a time arriveds and he gets used to each as they arrive. But also, we are adding 1st Sat. Aug. 7. So far fewer dogs that day which might work for first visit.
